Rod Warranty
We are delighted that you have chosen a Hardy carbon/glass fibre rod. As an owner, you are entitled to take part in the Hardy Product Warranty and Repair Service. You must register your rod within 60 days of purchase. If not already done, register via the link below (account required).
Once registered, you are entitled for the lifetime of the product to repair or replacement (at our discretion) of damaged, broken or defective sections in accordance with these terms.
This service is in addition to your statutory rights covering manufacturing faults and mis-described goods. Please retain proof of purchase.
How much does it cost?
A handling and repair/replacement fee applies per claim. For current charges, see Warranty Charges below or contact customer service. Fees may change without notice.
Warranty Charges
Rods manufactured since January 2002 are covered by our Worldwide Extended Warranty.
- A warranty fee applies to successful claims (covers repair/replacement, handling, and return shipping).
For rods before 2002, contact customer service for costs.
Customers must retain proof of purchase.
Discontinued models may be replaced with a comparable rod at a discounted price.
How to make a claim
Send the rod (or remaining pieces) to the Hardy® Customer Service Department with a completed Warranty Repair/Replacement Form . Include proof of purchase if not registered.

Sending Broken Sections
For applicable rods: send bottom 10cm for tip sections, top & bottom 10cm for middle sections, and top 15cm for butt sections. Include model, length, line size, contact number, and delivery address.

You are responsible for shipping costs to the service department.
- Repair/replacement is at Hardy’s discretion.
- Replacement sections may vary in colour/material/spec.
- Lost or stolen rods are not covered.
- No consequential liability is covered.
- Applies only to the original owner.
If a valid claim is accepted, Hardy will repair or replace the rod but is not liable for additional loss beyond foreseeable consequences.
Reel Warranty
New Hardy reels carry a limited warranty (see leaflet or download below).
- Warranty covers defects for 5 years (or leaflet period).
- Applies alongside statutory rights.
- Register within 60 days online.
- Proof of purchase required.
- Original owner only.

Repair Costs
Non-manufacturing faults incur service fees covering labour, handling, and shipping. Parts are quoted separately. Replacement may be offered if repair is not possible.
How to claim
Send the reel with proof of purchase and completed form to the service department.
All Other Products
Covered by a 12-month statutory warranty against defects. Excludes wear, misuse, or neglect.
Making a claim
Return to place of purchase within 12 months, or directly with proof of purchase after that.
